As thoughts turn to spring vacations, remember that hotel rooms can play havoc with a healthy diet aimed at better management of PCOS symptoms. That’s because the rooms often come with their own junk food zone, namely the mini-bar.
Try to make this haven of chips and cookies off-limits as there is usually nothing healthy to eat in a mini-bar. Place a towel over it so you don’t have to look at it all the time and be tempted!
Be sure to go easy on exotic drinks while on vacation because alcohol can spur food cravings. Have the occasional pina colada or strawberry daiquiri by all means but opt for a refreshing nonalcoholic alternative like club soda or sparkling water with a splash of fruit juice as often as possible.
