Let’s do some cooking this week. That’s where the yum comes in!..But first I want to talk a little bit about carbohydrates since that’s what seems to be so confusing with PCOS.
Inflammation is the foundation of the symptoms. And inflammation is often caused by higher than normal levels of insulin over time. That’s why a diet low in sugar and carbohydrates can work miracles because it can take our cells as little as 3 days to become more insulin sensitive.
We’ve included a handout below this video of all the awesome carbohydrates that we call the low or slow carbohydrates that will help you to lower inflammation to feel better, much better…Today, let’s make a super simple soup that I just made up with some beautiful carbohydrates that I have on hand. What’s beautiful about cooking is that is you don’t always need a recipe and you don’t always need to go to the grocery store. Here let me show you what I mean.
Your to do this week is to make a very simple soup. As we come into fall and winter soups are so important to nourish our bodies. You can use what I used – 1 yellow onion, 1 zucchini, canned pumpkin, vegetable broth and some grated ginger with sea salt. Or experiment with what you have on hand. The seasoning is the secret. Let us know what you came up with on our FB page. We’re here to support you. I’ll see you next week.
