Yesterday we suggested that investing in a dog may be more effective than a gym membership when it comes to achieving better management of your PCOS symptoms via regular exercise. This was after a new survey showed dog-owners get four times as much exercise walking their dogs as the average gymgoer.

Another surprising fact to emerge was that, while 86% of dog owners said they enjoyed time with their dogs, only 16% rated going to the gym favorably.

And nearly two-thirds of dog-lovers said they walked their pets even when pressed for time, compared with 46% of gymgoers who admitted to often making excuses not to work out.
