[Video] PCOS and Fun Weekly Tip

Today let’s talk about one of my favorite secrets to recovering from the symptoms of PCOS. Are you ready?

It’s FUN! If you think about approaching your health from a FUN perspective, it so easy and it goes right along with our 5% Solution concept. Our brain loves FUN so it’s much easier to make healthy changes with this approach in mind.

Let me give you an example…right before bed every night maybe you have a bowl of cereal. Now you know and I know that wheat and dairy mess with our hormones in a bad way, but still, it’s a habit you’ve formed and that’s what you do before bed. What if, you changed this habit, just a little bit, so that instead of having wheat cereal with cow’s milk, you have a little bowl of oatmeal with some coconut or almond milk? You could add some chopped green apple and some walnuts with maybe a few drops of stevia to make it a little sweeter if you need it. This is what I mean by making it fun. You’re not eliminating the cereal altogether, you’re just making a small shift. And it’s delicious and fun. You could even get more creative and more fun by adding in a little cinnamon, or some coconut flakes….

The same goes for movement. I always try to make my exercise fun. Today I took my dogs for a walk on the beach in the sunlight – yes it was cold but so beautiful – and I did 3 sets of sprints to build muscle and burn fat. It was so beautiful outside – how could it not be fun?!!

Last summer I signed up for a line dancing class, and had no idea what I was doing – but I laughed the entire time because it was so much fun. I got an hour’s worth of movement in and didn’t even realize it because I was having fun.
