PCOSAA and Insulite Health: Awareness and Support for the Seven Million Mothers, Sisters, and Daughters Living with PCOS in the United States.
During the month of September, the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association (PCOSA) and Insulite Health work together in raising awareness about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), a physical and emotional hormonal condition suffered by girls as young as eight years old.

In support of this effort, Insulite Health will donate $1 to the PCOSA for every person that “likes” their Facebook Insulite PCOS page during the month of September. The Facebook Insulite PCOS Community offers their members cutting-edge medical research, informative articles, and support for those with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and those who care about them. As a sign of appreciation to all their Facebook fans, Insulite Health will also offer special product pricing during September.
Although Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) was first identified in 1935 (as the Stein-Leventhal Syndrome), obtaining an accurate diagnosis of this hormonal problem can be difficult, as the symptoms, and their severity, vary from one woman to the next. While relatively little is still known about PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), it is estimated that between 5 and 10 percent of females are afflicted with this condition, including females as young as 8 years old!
PCOSupport was founded in 1997 as a volunteer organization aimed at helping women cope with the symptoms of PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). Some of these symptoms include: ovarian cysts, hair loss, excessive facial or body hair growth, high cholesterol, irregular menstruation and weight gain, among others. Without proper treatment, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) can result in more serious conditions, including obesity, diabetes, and infertility. For many women, these symptoms are not only painful and debilitating, they also represent a heartbreaking obstacle to their dreams of starting a family.
“It is sad to think about the number of female adolescents and adult women who suffer from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and have gone undiagnosed,” commented the Insulite Health CEO, Robin Nielsen. “By partnering with the PCOSA and working together in raising awareness, we are hoping to educate the public – and the medical community – about this condition and offer a faster and more accurate diagnosis as well as a better quality of life for the women, and their families, living with this condition.”

About Insulite Health
Insulite Health was established in 2001 in Boulder, Colorado, to research, develop, and test a scientifically-based, multi-element approach to addressing the problems associated with Insulin Resistance (IR), a potentially serious imbalance of blood glucose and insulin. Reversing the condition requires a complete, specialized system that incorporates Nutritional Supplements (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and botanicals formulated to address specific conditions), a tailored nutrition plan; an exercise plan designed to increase insulin sensitivity; a component that addresses carbohydrate addiction; and an extensive support network.
Recognizing there are millions of individuals who need this kind of multi-element approach to reversing Insulin Resistance (IR), Insulite Health has, over the past ten years, developed individual systems for PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), Excess Weight Gain/Obesity, Metabolic Syndrome (Syndrome X), Pre-Diabetes, and Type 2 Diabetes.
