Lack of motivation is a major reason why many women with PCOS stop exercising, even though regular physical activity can greatly improve the symptoms of this condition via better weight loss or control.
Â
The key to staying motivated is to enjoy your exercise. So why not try a different approach with these ideas?
Â
Think of exercise as a menu rather than a diet. Combine a number of different physical activities that are personally enjoyable such as sports, dancing, swimming and biking.
Â
Develop an interest or hobby that requires physical activity. Even gardening exercises muscles.
Â
Try cross training, which entails alternating between several kinds of exercise. For example, go for a brisk walk and then switch to running for a while in the middle of it.
Â
Don’t forget: always consult your doctor before begining a new exercise regime.
