It’s no secret that many women struggle with Adrenal PCOS. In a world where we are constantly pushed to our limits, we find ourselves tired, stressed, and suffering from PCOS symptoms. Can you believe that there are safe and natural ways to help support our bodies and our hormones found in mushrooms?
Many mushrooms have adaptogenic properties and have been used for healing for thousands of years. Adaptogens are non-toxic plants that can be taken over a long period of time without having negative side effects. They help balance responses in the body to physical, chemical, and emotional stressors. They have a strong effect on creating a hormonal balance within the body and can increase or decrease the hormonal response based on the body’s needs.
One of my favorite adaptogens to help support hormone balance is Cordyceps. Cordyceps is a small worm-shaped mushroom that was originally grown in China. It has been found that Cordyceps can help balance hormones, like estrogen and progesterone, which are produced in our adrenal glands. Supporting our adrenals, especially for women with PCOS, is so important for sleep, weight release, and keeping your immune system strong. Cordyceps has also been found to lower blood sugar levels as well as decrease inflammation and offer a caffeine-free energy boost.
Incorporating cordyceps into your routine can be easy. Cordyceps can be found in liquid, powder, and pill form. Adding the powder form to soups and stews has been the traditional way of incorporating this amazing adaptogen. The liquid form can easily be added to hot beverages.
