Great news – let’s hope it inspires other countries.
A group of PCOS specialists and researchers have formed the PCOS Alliance in order to request funds from the Federal Government of Australia to study PCOS. $1.13 million has been awarded to the group to develop national guidelines on the condition.
Hopefully, this will start to reduce the many cases of mis- and under-diagnosed PCOS. As we well know, getting an accurate and timely diagnosis – along with the right treatment – is critical for good long-term health and well being.
And fingers crossed that the Australian guidelines are adopted internationally.
