Another PCOS Advantage of Red Wine

Moderate consumption of antioxidant-rich red wine not only helps to protect us from PCOS-linked cardiovascular disease – it’s also better for our teeth than white wine!

The latter packs an acidic punch that erodes tooth enamel far more than red wine.

There is a way to lessen red wine’s effect, however. Drinking white wine with food, rather than by itself, means the saliva you produce as you chew helps to neutralize the wine’s acidity and blunt its erosion potential.

Another useful tip is to leave at least half-an-hour before brushing your teeth after drinking white wine. That way, the enamel of your teeth can recover from the acid attack and become less susceptible to being brushed away.
