Today I want to show how to make a nourishing veggie drink. Vegetables are key to healing from PCOS and hormone imbalance. The more the better! They contain minerals, fiber and vitamins that help to keep us happy!
And this is much better than juicing in a traditional juicer because you get the fiber – the whole real food which helps to keep blood sugar balanced. And your bones will be happy too.
Here is an easy recipe to make any time to get more vegetables into you diet. You can make it at home quickly and inexpensively. Usually under a buck. At the health food store this drink will set you back you back at least $6-8.
- Handful of parsley, cilantro Handful of greens: kale, spring mix, spinach
- Slice of lemon with peel or ginger or both
- Quarter of a raw beet with peel
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 small carrot
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbls raw apple cider vinegar or fresh lemon juice
- Couple slices of cucumber Zucchini
All of the above are optional suggestions. Mix and match vegetables to your taste.
Use what you like and blend it up! And use what you have on hand. Notice how you feel more flexible and balanced.
