Natural Progesterone

Naturally occurring hormone secreted by the corpus luteum of the ovary to promote pregnancy and also by the adrenal cortex in the glucocorticoid pathway; bio-identical hormone synthesized from plant origin used in hormone replacement therapy.

Neural Networks

A group of neurons and neural connections (synapses, dendrites, and axons) that code for specific memories, perceptions, or behaviors.

Neurectomy

The removal of a specific nerve or a portion of a nerve. This is usually done to treat pain.

Neurodegeneration

Relating to the atrophy or decline of tissue of the nervous system.

Neuroendocrine

Of a hormonal substance that influences the action and mechanisms of nerves.

Neurons

A type of cell that makes up tissues of the nervous system and that can send out and accept nervous impulses.

Nodule

A small lump or cluster of tissue.

Norethindrone acetate (Norethindrone)

A drug that acts by inhibiting follicular growth and development and ovulation by suppressing follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing hormone (LH). Indicated for the treatment of amenorrhea (secondary), endometriosis, and abnormal uterine bleeding that is due to hormonal imbalance.
