What are RSS Feeds?
RSS News feeds allow you to see when a website adds new content. Get the latest headlines as soon as they are published.
RSS Feeds are also known as ’Really Simple Syndication’.
How do I start using feeds?
The first thing you need is something called a news reader. This is software that checks the feeds and lets you read new articles that have been added. There are a variety to choose from.
Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is to decide what content you want it to receive. For example, if you would like stories on ‘Living with PCOS’, simply look at the right navigation column for the category ‘Living with PCOS’ and you will notice an orange RSS button next to the category.
By clicking on the orange RSS button you can subscribe to the feed. Most sites that offer feeds use a similar orange button, but some may just have a normal web link.
How do I get a RSS news reader?
There are a variety of different news readers available and new versions are appearing all the time.
News readers vary according to the operating systems. You will need to choose one that will work with your computer.
